The Pitch That Closed While a Contract Blocked the Build

Context

A product company with a live user base and growth priced into the roadmap. Their dev team was locked in under contract, and replacing that team would have cost multiple five figures before any new work started.

Problem

Their growth loop carried a technical defect their own team had never diagnosed: shares died at the Page instead of resolving to the Profile, so the viral path leaked users at the one step it existed to convert. Above the defect sat a second problem: they wanted the full rebuild, and their contract made it impossible to purchase.

Approach

Forensic diagnosis, rendered as a pitch artifact rather than a slide deck: a stepper that walks the defect click by click, a live 3D atlas of their repository read locally from their own code, and the finding grounded in Meta's platform documentation, cited so their engineers could check it themselves. When the contract blocked the build, the offer restructured around what they could buy: an audit plus training for the incumbent team on a fix path they could execute themselves.

Stepper echo: defect, evidence, fix path, each gate verified before the next opens.

The before-to-after, silent-legible: where it started, what the data showed, the decision that turned it, where it landed. Past performance guarantees nothing. The diagnosis method is the product.

  • 3D repository atlas, generated from the client's own codebase
  • Meta platform documentation, cited per claim
  • Offer-ladder restructuring

Closed
build off the table

A paid engagement closed even though the full build was off the table. Their team walked away trained on the fix path, and the pitch page stood as its own proof: the artifact demonstrating the caliber of work it proposed.

Impact

The client got motion without breaching their contract. And the engagement proved the offer architecture closes independent of build feasibility: a constrained buyer walked in, and paid work still walked out.

Lessons

The artifact carries the argument. And the offer ladder earned its keep: a buyer who cannot say yes to everything can still say yes to something, if the rungs were built before the call.

Why this matters to you

Every pitched prospect now gets a custom page of this caliber. This entry is what that pattern looks like from the client's side of the table.
