High-End Men's Fashion
Sub-1% to 4%+ Conversion on Cold Traffic
Context
Premium menswear brand selling $400 to $500 denim to a very specific niche. They had hired a high-award, design-driven agency to rebuild their Shopify store.
Problem
The site looked like a fashion award entry: animations, heavy visuals, zero clarity. Cold-traffic conversion rates were under 1%. They assumed the problem was "more traffic" rather than the leaky bucket.
Approach
Migrated to Shopify Plus and used it to experiment with the checkout journey, not just the homepage. Rather than push cold traffic straight into $500 jeans, we created a lower-friction entry product: a branded accessory (a keychain) that fit the same identity. The landing page sold the keychain, with the jeans introduced as a natural upsell and then as part of a no-brainer bundle. We simplified options, clarified value, and let the brand aesthetics support the offer, not replace it.
Bundle-funnel architecture: keychain-entry, jeans-upsell, bundle-bridge.
The before-to-after, silent-legible: where it started, what the data showed, the decision that turned it, where it landed. Past performance guarantees nothing. The diagnosis method is the product.
Stack
- Shopify Plus
- Custom checkout flows
- Facebook Ads driving to dedicated LPs
Result
Conversion rates climbed past 4% on cold traffic for the bundle flow. Revenue moved into the low- to mid-six-figure monthly range without changing the core product or discounting the brand to death.
Revenue stepping into low-to-mid-six-figures monthly without margin erosion.
Impact
The brand went from "beautiful but broke" to a funnel that could actually scale paid acquisition without torching margins.
Lessons
Luxury buyers still appreciate clarity. You sell identity, but the path to purchase must be brutally simple.
Why this matters to you
Applicable to any premium brand where the site looks like a museum and behaves like a sieve.
